We made a simple bird feeder and the kids had a blast. We started with an old water table we had laying in the backyard. We filled half of it with water and half with bird seed.
then we waited...
we baked some chocolate chip cookies to past the time
we spotted a bunny nearby
the kids decided the birds needed better food and they started digging for worms, adding bread crumbs and anything else they could find
Eventually, a bird came and we were so excited we scared it away before I could get a picture! I did however find a squirrel enjoying the food...
